On 14th October, CHRJ organized a "Human Rights Awareness Session for Youth" in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Rights Pakistan, Punjab Department, as part of its #KnowYourRights Campaign. Director CHRJ Ms. Amna Rashid, Faculty Advisor CHRJ Mr. Umar Rashid engaged the youth in a healthy discussion on the scope of the rights enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan and the UDHR.
Ms. Lubna, Regional Director Punjab, Ministry of Human Rights, informed participants about the work and plans of the Ministry. She, along with the representatives of the Ministry and Chairperson Department of Political Science and IR, UMT, Dr. Shoaib Pervez distributed certificates to students of UMT who had successfully completed an internship program at the Ministry.
Ms. Sidra and Ms. Maira Asif (students of BS IR) made brief presentations on the human rights protection system in Pakistan. The event was a huge success with students actively participating in the discussion.
