International Human Rights Day is celebrated globally every year on the 10th of December. This day commemorates the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 by the UN General Assembly.
As part of its #KnowYourRights Campaign, Center for Human Rights and Justice (CHRJ) organized a poster exhibition designed to answer one question: What are human rights?
Students designed posters, creatively using some of the following modes:
- Photographs
- Collages
- Graphic Design
- Poems
- Short essays/stories/personal anecdotes
- Paintings/Drawings
Director CHRJ (Amna Rashid) alongwith student volunteers present at the event helped create awareness on human rights. All of the volunteers as well as some of the attendees pledged to have their human rights known and to spread awareness to those whose rights are not being fulfilled or are being deliberately violated.
